A photographic project that aims to tell the transformation of our contemporary society through one of the disorder related to the abuse of new technologies. It’s a series of portraits that want to make people aware of the effects of using mobile devices during the hours before bed(or sleep). Several studies have pointed out a profound influence of the wavelength of the blue color on our body. In fact, the light spectrum emitted by the backlit screens of our devices delays the cycles of the circadian rhythm, altering the regular production of melatonin, a hormone essential for regulating the sleep-wake cycle. The inability to get to sleep can have significant consequences on our daily activities. Sleep deprivation, in fact, can lead to increase anxiety, stress, bad mood and can generally compromise everyday life.
